Arienzo 2017 is Marqués de Riscal's first Vino de Zona, since it is made 100% from selected the Tempranillo and Graciano grapes from vineyards located in the Rioja Alavesa. Once the grapes achieve optimum point of ripeness they pass to the winery where the natural processes of alcoholic and malolactic fermentation begin in stainless steel vats, under strictly controlled conditions of temperature. Once these processes are completed, the wine will be stored in American-Oak barrels for the cask-ageing process during a period of 18 months, followed by further ageing in bottle.
